This scenario (i think) would allow for stuff otherwise discounted, like getting some kind of solar panel and a decent sized powerbank that could replace basic stuff like gas stoves/campfires, batteries, no need for tents/sleeping bags, chance to stockpile food and repair/spare components and tools, (for a bike for example), and maybe set up some some raincatcher system with adequate storage to make it worhtwhile?
