Anyways, a slow action rod with light power isn't that good for bass fishing or catfishing, in my opinion. It's great for like a small inline spinner fishing for trout or bluegil, though. Something like a texas rig will be on the bottom of the water, and you want to be able to feel the bite hit immediately and set the hook quickly

Not saying that you can't catch a bass on a light power slow action rod, nor am I saying that you can't catch a trout on a heavy fast action rod. But it helps to use the right tool for the job.
