>>547868do what the romans did - rough nails. in your case you'll have to find either very short nails or tacks that have a rough head. you'll probably want to put a dab of epoxy on the sole and then drive the nail in right on top of it. the 'poxy will help to make sure it doesn't fall out. idunno where you can find rough ones though, smooth/polished heads won't be so effective
