bonito spasher is basic. a weighted float or popper with around foot and a half to 2' of floro tied to the fly. pop it drag it make it make bubbles.
if high tide walk the jetty inland towards the bridge. theres halibut there. toss swim baits and jerk baits for them.
theres also bay bass spotties and sandies on the mission bay side towards the hotels. ride a bike around the bay theres tons of spots to hit. try over by the boat launches too. fish are attracted there because of the cleaning stations at the ramp. And try near the bait receivers where the sportboats buy bait. theres fish there. I wouldnt waste time on the high piers, (OB & crystal) theyre only sometimes pruductive and its more of a circus fishing there. the few that are in the bay are fun, a little over populated with asians but theres fish at least.. shelter island pier sometimes gets the schools of macs and bones, might want to call the baitshop there and get a report.
