That's nothing. I have severe anxiety but hope one day I will fight through it and pursue my dreams of becoming a mountaineer or eventually alpinist. In the last 2 years I've collected over 5k+ on clothing alone specifically for mountaineering and winter hiking, and guess how many times I've gone hiking? Once. On the bright side since I discovered this type of clothing my winters have been pretty comfy, I used to wear skinny jeans, white shirt, and a pair of boots everywhere on winter, now I have some really nice base lyers, arcteryx down jackets, and pants, to walk around comfy without being cold all the time. At the end of the day what makes a difference if you live or die in the mountains will be experience, not how much gear you've bought. I know people hiking the whites and the Adirondacks with mostly amazon and walmart gear, and they hike perfectly fine, makes me so jealous.
