The greenhouse effect has been established over 100 years. If you want to dispute it then you'd need something credible that disproves the theory.
Certain gases will not adsorb visible light, but will adsorb infrared light. These are called greenhouse gases and are not simply a buzzword. Visible light from the sun passes through the atmosphere and is adsorbed by the Earth's surface and reemitted as infrared light. This infrared light is then, in effect, trapped by the atmosphere adsorbing and reemitting it. This phenomenon is one of the main contributors to the Earth's surface temperature (the other main factor being albedo). Without the greenhouse effect, the Earth would be inhospitable to humanity.
However, if we increase the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, this will lead to more infrared light being trapped near the Earth's surface. CO2 is a byproduct of burning hydrocarbons and is also a greenhouse gas.
There is no credible debate in the scientific community over the validity of the greenhouse effect. It is an accepted theory and unless there is a groundbreaking discovery that disproves it, it will continue to be accepted.
