>>207795He's talking about the steel tube racks on the front and back. The dark green plastic over the wheels are the fenders.
In front of the seat is the gas tank.
Ever ridden a dirt bike before? The quad's going to behave like a smallbore moto with four wheels, clutch and everything.
http://www.carlscycle.com/fiche_select2.asp?category=ATVs&make=Honda&year=1996&fveh=131390Quads are a little more difficult than a motorcycle to work on, only because there's more stuff in the way. Front steering/suspension/axle rather than an axle bolt and forks/triple tree, but once the engine's out of the frame they're pretty similar.
If you've got a decent socket set, rattle gun (for clutch nut), gear puller, chain breaker, a couple of syringes for bleeding fluids, and some mechanical know-how (or friends that are willing to help you out, that's how Iearned most of my wrenching) you can do the work without a lot of trouble.
Search the internet for a service manual and go from there.
I'll be doing a top-end on my moto in a few months.
