>>1306217Update I finished the second batch this morning just in time for the fishing trip. My "cooler" is literally a Styrofoam box 1 inch thick with a shitty lid that doesn't seal properly at all.
Packed it to the top with the bags of crushed ice and it then sat for 8 hours in a hot car on a sunny day while I was out fishing on the pier, the ice had barely melted at all when I got home.
I saw a school of 5 big cods swimming right below me, they just went up and looked at my lure and then continued swimming.
They came to visit me 8 times over the span of an hour and every time I tried a different lure but nope they refused to bite.
Feels bad man that's the closest I've ever been to catching something, they were so close and chill that if I was quick enough I feel I could've scooped them up in a landing net.
Now I've got a proper backlash to sort out on the baitcaster. Learning is hard mayne.
