It is better to use a frost proof yard hydrant and drain the short connections from it to soaker hoses the inside of the tunnels. That way there's only a few feet exposed to extreme cold at any one time. If it is longer than that all sorts of freeze problems occur even while the water is running. Most of my hoses are 200 feet long.
