The best things to keep animals at bay are other animals. Like dogs for instance. But, they need to be semi-trained and placed right where the problem animals are coming to.
An electric fence, that is properly built can stop anything, with some modifications. It's the most work. To do it right you need it high, to prevent deer from jumping over (6' to 8' at least). You need a skirt to prevent rabbits and groundhogs from digging under. If you have prairie dogs you need an in-ground barrier.
