I get the spoops randomly in the woods, I wouldn't say it coincides with any time of year, season, or weather condition. I suppose that feeling you get when a storm is approaching, and the air pressure feels weird and the leaves on the trees begin to hang differently, that sometimes makes me more aware of my surroundings and makes me feel weirdly vulnerable as a result. Particularly in the ultra quiet, like the calm before a storm or even in the middle of heavy snow. In any case, there's lot of potential to feel spooked in heavy forests, bleak winters, hungry coyotes around, etc.
