Honestly? I think that the bulk of white people recognize that they're HUMAN and not white at their core. While everyone else is busy trying to get into touch with their "roots," ie a culture . Why would a black person go into the woods if they're too busy trying to figure out what it means to be a black man? That or it's just that white folk are, on average, more capable of handling chaos from a self reliance standpoint. Maybe it has to do with survival traditions needing to be passed down from one generation to the next and that paternal link is missing?
