I put a few Nording keystones in the bottom of my bowls which creates a void underneath the tobacco and allows all of it to be smoked. I smoke my bowls to ash 100%. It also helps with excess moisture. They work in any pipe.

Pic related for me. They're made from volcanic clay and soak up a nice amount of moisture. They work in any pipe, you just drop a few in the bottom of the bowl and pack on top. It also creates a little pocket of air at the bottom of your bowl which helps with a smooth draw and cuts down on dottle.
