To be honest however, if I'm camping I do want to be able to reach some off the beaten path, backwoods, deeper into the country areas, but don't need to be able to traverse the most intense wilderness trails or paths.
Is there such thing as slash/stab proof rooftop campers? I know the chances of having a random person trying to break into your camper out in the woods is really low, and with proper food management you shouldn't be attracting many animals either, but I would just feel safer having some sort of reinforced fabric if I chose to go with a rooftop camper.
