>>580269Last pic I took. The front pocket. I use it the least but I'm quite glad it's there. You can't fit large objects in it at all because there's no actual room inside this pocket. It's just the space between two layers of fabric. Anything you shove in there will simply steal space from the main compartment.
What I use it for is a rain fly I got from REI and a few ziplocks. The material used on this backpack is coated on the inside for water resistance. Water cannot penetrate the coating but it can penetrate the zippers and seams fairly easily. The backpack can keep my shit more or less dry for about 20 minutes of moderate rainfall. So if it's just something short I don't bother. But if I think I'm going to be out for a while then I ziplock my phone, wallet, and key fob and put the rain fly on. I flatten out the rain fly and ziplocks inside this pocket and I never even know they're there until I need them.
