>>2291801I was just out last night to crank out my hot tent. I'm up here in the ADKs.
I don't have any pic's because it was -15f and I was too busy worrying about things and planning for next time to remember.
BUT on the other hand, I was thinking about ways to make a hot tent work better. Don't get me wrong, it worked great, and I had a better night sleep than I've ever had in the winter. I was only getting up every 2 hours to restock the stove.
My main idea was to next time make a raised bed of some kind, in order to lift myself out of the cold sink that is the bottom of the tent.
Can anyone with hot tent experience confirm if that's a worthwhile idea or not, or would it just be smarter to get a tent with better insulation?
Do they even make insulated hot tents?
Pic from last spring's failure where I sat cross-legged in 0f and all my clothing and only slept for an hour.
