I like it even though some people don't because the construction isn't the greatest for absorbing shock. I'm 45 and I've been using a hammer as long as I can remember, so it's no big deal for me. If my wife and kids are along it will be car camping. For that I carry a traditional boy's axe, a 2.5 lb single poll head on a 28" handle. That sucker will do some work.
Since I don't carry anything unnecessary, I don't mind the weight of the axe. Also add to the equation that I'm old enough and was raised far in the country enough to have done enough work that I genuinely don't notice the weight.
