There is no harmony in nature because each organism is selfish and competitive. A tree doesn't think to itself "hey I'm shading out those cute little flowers, I'll stop growing so I can let them still have sun".
Are you going to tell this elephant to stop cutting down trees and leave no trace? We fucked up the ecosystem by making these large mammals go extinct and preventing wildfires, and now we don't want to take up the responsibility (which the indians at least did after slaughtering all those mammoths and ground sloths). Humans aren't supposed to leave nature alone, we're supposed to take care of it as if it was our garden.
