What you do get with ESEE is a worry-free usage for that particular knife. I have no qualms hacking and slashing away with my Junglas since I know that it'll be replaced if it breaks.
Now, I have a custom woodlore-clone. While I use it a lot I also am very conscious about what I'm going to use it on. I'm not going to pry boar tusks out with it unlike my ESEE3
