When I was young, a cousin of mine was a very sensitively allergic to cat/dog fur and dust, so his parents bought him one of these, a large Xoloitzcuintli. Similar to pic related, but more brownish, with a brown mohawk.
He was a large example of the breed. Good gaurd dog, as he would growl at strangers. At night, in dim light, with only his eyes glowing and a vague outline visible, this demon dog certainly rustled my jimmies a few times. But he was actually a sweetie.
