>>2435264no. the tail fin was more like a pike or catfish than a bowfin, plus I don't recall a long dorsal fin like a bowfin. I saw it very clearly, that's why it's odd that I couldn't identify it. I've never seen pike or musky in person though(south carolina). it was dark brown on top(nearly black it seemed) and had very noticeably orange tail and dorsal fin. this pic is very similar, but like I said, we don't have these in the lake(at least known)
