>>537525I got put on roids first but moved on to a light immunosurpressant. After they found out that wasn't working well enough they scheduled me for an op to remove the inflamed area. I ended up going early due to an emergency permeation.
I was under for the op but for about three days after I was in agony, and miserable for a few days after that. Consultant said technically you get stabbed in the bowel three times. As well as the pain you also have to deal with your digestive system starting back up, I fondly remember shitting myself and throwing up at the same time. It's totally worth it though if you can get it, I'm off of crohns drugs for potentially life now although I'm going back onto a smaller dose of immunosurpressants for the next year to help stop it from coming back. I've almost forgotten what it was like to have crohns now.
While mine was severe it was confined to a small area, here's hoping yours is also small scale, otherwise good luck with that.
