Fuck these lillies. Haven't been here in a couple months and these lilly pad beds grew. There were clear spots before that I could run stuff through. But now it isn't even worth fishing here since I don't have any rods with 60lb line and if I hook something decent it will wrap me up and I will never get it in.
First cast I had a bite too, must have pulled the hook out of the worm and stuck it right into a lilly stem.

We get a week or two a year where it gets down to the 50s at night, maybe a night or two with a cold front that gets us to 49F for a couple hours, and I have the heat going full blast in my car. The weather up there is so depressing, especially when you go from 20F in February, then all of March and April is 45F and rainy, and then May comes and it's 90F. It's so much easier to get out of bed in the morning when it isn't 10F outside.
