So, I've been wanting to start going /out/ for a few year now, The problem is I still have some excuses: I have no friends that will go with me (not that much of a problem, I have become used to do things on my own). Murder rate in my country (I'm from Brazil) is ridiculous and I fear being mugged or generaly robbed. We also have lots of mosquitoes that may give me yellow fever (the real one, not the meme). Nature here in fact can be very beautiful, but I have no experience in camping whatsoever and am very afraid. But I just can't pospone it anymore, I want to go camping! Please help me! I don't even know what I'll need or where should I go... paid camping lots simply seem very stupid... but maybe they aren't? I'm thinking of hiking Peak Paraná[1], which is the highest point in the southern region and probably will be cold and have less mosquitoes than anything near the concrete hell I live in right now. Also, it's not a camping lot, so even if there are people hiking there, there will be no such luxuries as showers, bathrooms, kitchens and etc.
Anyway, please help a newbie anon that doesn't have a friend or a dad that's able to teach the /out/ ways.
