>>454905i`ve only done 2 days / 2 nights innawoods...... but, i`m planning on going off grid in future. i got a couple of tents and rucksacks.....
How do you keep yourself and your stuff moderatly clean? stream / river. collect water. boil over camp fire + use shower bag.
How do you keep healthy? walking around inna woods. carrying your gear. curling branches and rocks. squats. streatching........
What do you like to entertain yourself with? i watch shooting stars at night. owls. squirrels, rabbit, hares, pheasants, kites.....
What food do you pack, what and how do you eventually gather food? for a week or more i`d collect berries. take canned meat. cereals. powdered milk. pasta. cereal bars. buy jerky (although expensive = very light weight for protein).
What other supplies do you carry? toiletries, dynamo light, lantern, solar battery chargers + batteries, soap, shampoo. collapsable plastic 10 L water bottle - collect rain water from tarp sheet. make DIY filter out of a bottle + stones. gravel. sand. charcoal from fire. more sand all in a plastic coke bottle hung upside down to filter water through.
How do/did you find suitable spots? knowing where people dont go. under the biggest pine trees = good rain / sind cover. and you can use branches to make roof. use para cord to make a line over top and put tarp shet over for roof / rain collector. and not put it under a tree with big branches that could fall on me.
What does your camp/sleeping spot and its surroundings look like? under a pine tree in a bivi bag = quick setup OR a popup dome tent OR ground sheet over top for roof with camp bed undernieth and watch the stars. + camo netting to keep hidden + keep mosquetos off.
