>>957727So that rod would be the 5718, right? I'm gussing that's their MH. I think the 5717 is more of a M. I would probably go with the 7' 5g-18g (5717) if you think you will be at that trout place and going for lots of 1/2lb up to 3lb-4lb fish.
Other than that, all looks solid.
Pic related is kinda for reference. It's an Abu Garcia rod and this is a real common freshwater size to go for anything from small perch and crappie up to 5lb+ bass. 1/8oz-1/2oz is like 3.5g-14g and covers most lures you would use to target those fish aside from big heavy baits.
You decide on line yet? Is it in KG there? Because 6lb-10lb monofilament would be good for that reel. 6lb better for lighter trout baits and 10lb for carp or bigger guys. 8lb is a good all around weight and line is fairly cheap so if you want to swap it for a different weight in the future, shouldn't be more than £5-£10. Just don't cheap out on the line. Get a decent brand like Trilene, Suffix, P-Line, Stren, etc. if you buy shitty line, you will regret trying to save the £2 when you lose a nice fish.
