>>2254044>Waxed jacketUnless you're a logger or a firemen, wearing a waxed coat is just a hassle. It produces a musty odor, very heavy, very clumpy and uncomfortable, and for sometimes sticky especially if worn in the summer. They are durable however and insulate fine. If I were you I would get a canvas jacket, some older Carhartt J97 would do well. If you just add a flannel lining to it you're pretty much golden as far as warmth and movability go.
In a nutshell: Wax sucks, go for duck canvas.
