I own both. Hunted compound bow for several years, still not ready to take deer confidently with the recurve from a stand.
My kids, however, are not allowed to own compound bows. They have to learn the right way. From the start. No bad habits like I'm learning to break.
I actually got a recurve crossbow last year while I slowly get better at traditional archery. It's fucking awesome. A rifle that shoots arrows. Total bullshit lmfao.
