There is a way to have insulated log cabins. We just have to place two layer of logs to do the walls, make some sort of hourdage like in timber framing houses to fill the empty space.
The problem is to make an insulated roof. We can use the same logic, but we need another layer on the top of it to protect it from the rain.
One tarp a year is a solution, but it wont look good.
Anyway, if we build this kind of house, we will never fell cold.
