My old half-ton went 216k before I traded it in (and the engine was the weak link, cracked crankshaft and a burned exhaust valve). Original transmission.
Shortbed because I like to be able to park it in a parking space... if I need more space, well, that's why I have an enclosed trailer.

8.2mpg pulling my trailer this weekend. 140 miles to the mountain, and 140 miles back.

Hitched up friday, topped off my propane cylinder, dog/snowmobile/gear/food/tools/fuel/everything else into the truck/trailer, and spent what's probably the last sled trip of the year up on the mountain.

Parking lot was muddy, but there was plenty of food and alcohol, along with a campfire and good friends.... and some not-too-bad snowmobiling for the first week in may. Roughly 6 months of riding this season.
