The thing is basically bomb proof, and because it's waxed canvas so long as you continue waxing it as needed it's a heirloom quality pack that'll pick up a nice patina over time.
The trade off is it has a bit of weight to it, and since it is a dropsack style pack if you're not mindful of how your packing it and you don't do it properly, it can be a literal pain in your back. here are videos of some people modifying them slightly to make them more comfortable, but again, so long as you pack it properly you shouldn't have any problems.
