New Englishman here. Autumn is the best time of year. It's inspiring in every way; the relief from the summer heat, the last chance to hurry and enjoy life before the horrible winter sets-in, the harvest and constant reminder of our Puritan and Pilgrim ancestors' traditions in preparation to survive winter - which many did not, and the beauty of all the autumn flowers and vines and leaves all changing bright colors.
Life is grand during autumn. It's beautiful, the weather is great, it gets all crispy and spoopy for Halloween. I feel more connected with the past and present during autumn than any other time. I don't know how one could live without a proper autumn and still be healthy and complete.
