I keep a light spinning setup in the pickup for days when jobs finish up early so I can fish those. Small lakes it's 50/50 if I'll use the jon boat. I have to have somebody with me to get it in/out of the truck bed and hand-launch it. Otherwise I'll walk the trail and shore-fish from bare areas or the little fishing piers some of them have. Bigger lakes, bays and such are basically boat-only for me. Narrower stretches of rivers and streams I'll wade. If I can get halfway across in a pair of chest-waders I'm in business.
