>>298183The US military kits are really not that multifunctional. They are good for comfy eating and frying since the pan and plate, but when looking for good inwoods cookers the Europians are superior. At least Finnish, Polish, German (police) military use a great container/cooker which has 2-3 parts but the principal is the same. A frying pan/drinking cup with a handle on the top and a deeper container on the bottom, which is used for soup or larger amounts of food. The bottom part can also be hanged on top of the fire from the handle for boiling/warming up of the food. Easy to take care as well, since the bottom part is measured for a (at least European) common plastic bag that can be put in, so that no washing is needed.
The Swedish version is yet better. It has a outer part that is measured for a Trangia cooker and almost takes no more space. Simply just place the pack on top and the cooker under it and there's a perfect cooker.
Pic related, the Swedish version with the cooker. The black part is the base and the gold/brown is the actual cooker which works just by pouring some fuel into it and lighting it up.
