>>1976424just remembered another story from when i was in cubs
>be me, about 9>"""camping""" in cabins, something we rarely did >cabin area is more like a shed with 1 big room and 2 smaller rooms for bunks, split between boys/girls>the big room was empty space so we used it as a mess hall>the walls of the big room had a massive mural of jungle book characters>campsite was surrounded by bush and large rock formations (which we weren't allowed to go near)>on the first day me and my mates notice a symbol engraved into the top corner of a stone wall>pic related>somehow come to the conclusion that its an aboriginal symbol for home and wild abo's live here>throughout the day we keep on talking about it, decide we're gonna hunt the abo's>get free time before dinner. game time>at this point we've gotten half the cub group involved, about 15 kids wielding massive sticks>we walk a short ways into the bush until we cant see the shed anymore>convinced we can see the remains of firepits in the rock formations but no one goes close enough to confirm>hear rustling, what sounds like footsteps surrounding usohfuckanabo.jpg
>everyone treating this 100% seriously, game plan is made and we split up to hunt the "abo's">dumb fucking kids so we were convinced we were hunting buck naked invisible abo's through the bush>leaders call us back eventually>next day we wake up and one kid claims a bunch of paint was scratched off the mural overnight>abo's did it>don't really notice a difference because the mural was old as fuck but whatever>keep on seeing that symbol engraved into places around the campsite>for the entire camp we were convinced abo's were hunting us for camping on their landpretty sure i still have souvenirs from that camp
