The cooler water was great for largemouth for like two months. Then it started to warm up a little bit and seems like the largemouth fishing dropped off a cliff.

I got two largemouth yesterday and a handful more bites, and today I got one decent size guy as the sun was setting around 6:30pm. But I was out there for a few hours today so one fish isn't great. Had those Mayan Cichlids hitting a Rapala that was too big before it got dark. But that's about it.

Let's go fishing this weekend Miami anon. Meet me in Miramar or something. I was hitting some canals and lakes out there yesterday.

Yeah I guess. I normally fish smaller lakes where I can at least cast to a drop-off or something. But I do wish I had a boat some days, especially for those hot summer days.

Also, I think some fish may be spawning now around here. I have been seeing the traditional carp tails flopping around, and there is lots of movement in the water but not many bites.
