Did really good today. I was standing at the farthest point up the river that fishing is allowed right before the hatchery. I threw tiny little orange and chartreuse egg imitations. I only had 5 on me and I lost all of them to fish. The first couple that I hooked up with I was too excited and hyper to really figure out how to fight it properly and land so I lost them all. On my last egg I managed to land one. I had to chase it all the way down the left hand side of the pic above like some a river runs through it type shit and had a guy standing there help me net it. I’m going to try and switch up to a little heavier leader and tippet tomorrow and see if my numbers improve. I lost count of how many I hooked but it was probably close to 10 or so. I don’t know what I was doing right but I was hooking up way faster than the two old guys standing downstream of me.
I wish I had the picture of me with my fish I landed but the guy who netted it took the picture and he still hasn’t emailed me it :(
