I'd walk the entire shoreline, sit by the lake with the full moon in the sky, listening to the waves crash into the rocks, and almost never see another soul the entire time. Those were some of the most peaceful times in my life I can think of.
Unfortunately I moved and no longer have access to such luxuries. However the past few years I've found that /nightbikerides/ are even better. Especially when you ride far from home and end up in some big park by a river or lake with no one around. There's something freeing about riding around the streets of a sleeping city.
