>>2634401You can take classes, and they are great, or you can buy a small dinghy to learn on like I did. No matter how great the class is, you will only go out a handful of times. When I was looking for a dinghy, I made sure I got one with a head sail. The controls on the 16ft dinghy and the 30 ft boat are almost 1 for 1. It's a pretty similar experience to learning to ride motorcycles. If you buy too much bike in the beginning, you never can truly push your limits, so you can't become a good rider.
