In alot of cases where people end up falling in, they end up making it out with severe burns all over their body. Their clothes melted into their skin. They pretty much all end up dying, some up to a couple weeks after the fact.
There were also some stories on people trying to rescure their dogs or children and jumping into the hot springs after them.
