This is the tallest peak I've scaled. Gray Wolf Peak in western Montana, I think it was about 9,200'. No ropes needed but there was some pretty technical spots on the way up. Before we got above the tree line, we had to navigate a very poorly maintained trail, with fallen trees at least every 20 feet it seemed. Kind of like navigating a 45 degree obstacle course.
