>>1263262Vermiculture often means you purchase more stuff than normal. Of course it will be hyped up, both through buyer's remorse and marketing strategies. While it does work and it is good, most any form of composting will work. It is merely about length of time it takes to do it. I prefer the least amount of work and worry. I just use an open pile. Bonus if the chickens can rummage through it. I don't mind if it takes a year or two because the piles are like 6 truckloads of material to start with.
Read up on "Black Soldier Fly" composting. It is faster than worm composting and you can compost anything without restrictions. If you own chickens or fish, you can even turn them into feed.
