I've been through infographics posted here on /out/ and just lurked like a motherfucker. I'm aware of how unforgiving and life threatening living in winter. I intend on living /out/ for the 4-5months outta tent. I'll be located in central South Dakota during the winter season. I'm actively looking for the necessities for bare survivability. I have had an burning desire to live through a harsh winter since a youngin. Now I'm in doing what I have to keep my life on track, ironically this means living in a tent. I want to know if I should get snow shoes or skis. I'll also be sporting a sled dog. I need sage advice here.
