They originate in the swamps of North America, I'm in the UK and they do well here as they will "hibernate" during the harsh winter (as they do in their natural environment) and then burst back into life at spring time.
This one's called Spider because of how vigorous it is. You end up having to arrange its "leaves" (the traps are leaves not flowers) into a lattice effect to stop it from catching itself by mistake LOL. One of my favourites -- this one is an absolute fly/wasp recycler and will choke them dead in a few minutes.
