If you just turned a spinning reel with rotor sideways, it would never cast unless the spool was free moving. I guess if you did that, the birds nests would be outside of the reel on the ground instead of inside the body of the reel.
>>823842Sometimes those are the best places as long as it isn't a tiny pond. Even tiny ponds will have lots of small bass. The challenge is finding spots that you can fish at without being arrested, but aren't overfished by minorities.
You should try these lakes in Boca, they are off Spanish River. The one on the north side of Spanish River Rd is behind the library, and the is a park with baseball diamonds and stuff just across the street to the south with another big lake. Easy to fish from shore, you won't get kicked out, I have only been there a few times without much luck but it is always on scorching summer afternoons so I think it is poor timing on my part. If you catch shit there, maybe I will give them another try.
You can come down to Broward for the snakeheads and peacock bass too.
