>>586680This is very close to what I use. It's typically sold in US auto part stores (Autozone, O'Riley). It will power a standard GE round incandescent headlamp most of the night while flounder gigging (4+ hours of constant on). Granted, it is not halogen.
However, I also use it for spotlighting with a 1M+ candlepower light. This goes through on/off for hours and I've never seen it run down the battery.
You can get that battery checked to make sure it still has the amps or get another of the same and run them parallel. It would be easier carrying two of them than it would a car battery (even a small car battery).
