>>457803>the "truth" probably lies somewhere between your and your friend's positionThat's what I was thinking. As a nuaturally anxious person, I'm just looking for ways to mitigate possible disasters.
>extra set of clothes, a sleeping mat> I'd also tell someone about what you're doing, and call that person next morning that everything went well.>you should take this as opportunity in group dynamics, danger management, planning and so on. >Reach a consensus about conditions where you would cancel the trip before hand>Inform yourself of weather conditions, emergency/SAC numbers, etc.lots of excellent tips in your post, thanks. It's all common sense stuff, but we can always forget to tell someone where we're going in the rush to leave. As for clothing, I do have thermal clothes that I put on / bring with me almost everytime I know I'll be in cold condition. Even if it's going to be just an hour's walk in the city. the city conditions where I live can sometimes be worst than innawoods because of humidity.
Any tips on shelter? Are we really going to need to make a raised be or can we make something like pic related?
