I thought about doing a small 1-3 day bikepacking trip and I'm seeing lots of people here with, I don't know how else to name it, elongated saddlebags.
My Mountainbike does not have a (I'm ESL and really don't know what that thing is called) pannier rack/carrier/porter, can I still attach them comfortably to the bike?
I'm talking about picrel, which is obviously attached without the carrier thing but I'm not sure how well that would actually hold when driving through slightly rough terrain like a forest floor etc.
