I have a pair of Meindl - cant remember if it's the "Island" or "Borneo Pro" model - and its a women's model since I have narrow feet. I believe they has Gore-Tex in them, but anyways they are completely waterproof if you remember to treat them with leather wax once in a while. Its a sturdy and kinda heavy boot and because of this it also takes some time before they get worn to your feet. I've had mine for about a year now and they just get better and better the more kilometers I walk in them.
