I rely on the following lures: uv pink and ghost hot n tot by storm, rainbow trout pattern panther martin #4, 1/16th pink or white jighead size 8 with a bubblegum gulp trout worm threaded on. Bass pro Trout maxx uv bubblegum worm is 2-3/4'' worm that i like to wacky rig on a size 8 owner mosquito hook with a single split shot about a foot up. I bounce this around or drift with a bobber. When i am desperate, i also use pautzke eggs natural deluxe in a uv pink spawn sac. A pink woolly will work too.
Great lakes steelhead eat smaller presentations compared to coastal steel.
